Just want to say thanks for all your contributions to the automotive industry. You are truly a student of the business and the knowledge you pass on through your articles has helped us increase our wealth substantially!!
About a year and a half ago, we attended your Bootcamp in Las Vegas. Since then our business has skyrocketed. We are currently 2nd in the City (Indianapolis) and gaining. Actually we are not even in the city (we are in a 30,000 population) city on the Northside of Indy.
We are averaging about $2800 per copy in a very heavy GM customer town (60%). More importantly we are on the "left" side of #1 of our 20 Group. In April, we actually made 40% net to gross. You advertise that you can add $100k to the bottom line by attending Bootcamp. You should actually advertise you can add $1M by attending the Bootcamp.
We took several of your ideas and implemented them immediately. A few of them include: using Rhino as our advertising agency, having an Executive Sales Team, creating a BDC, and daily training (warmups) using your word tracks. By the way, we love your tapes. We'd love for you to come out with a Sales Manager Version. We also have taken your advice to heart in hiring the best people and then paying them great. Even though we were #1 (40%) net to gross (34% for the year), we are actually last in Salesperson Compensation (we paid out the highest percentage). We are cranking up the training and advertising -- "you either grow or die".
Just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your work. Keep writing great articles and maybe you can "add on" to your 11K square foot house.
There's only one article that I am waiting for you to write: how in the hell do you balance having an 8 month old with having a passion for this business???
