I've noticed lately dealers have been cutting back on their
training dollars. They say "sales are down, and we are not
getting the ups." We are tightening our belts until business
improves...
This way of thinking is completely backwards. When business
gets tight, Training is a must! Dealers are spending more in
advertising trying to make up for the lose of traffic, or
advertise lose leaders. This is the time to invest in your
people. With proper training, the sales people can maximize
the available business. By doing so, the Dealer will get a
far better return on investment that will last longer then
any advertising program.
